Massage in Downtown Cleveland
Swedish, deep tissue, Thai, sports and more, with licensed therapists in a quiet room on West 10th. Sixty minutes to two hours, seven days a week, by appointment.
Which massage is right for you
If you have never had a massage, or you just want an hour where nothing is asked of you, book Swedish. If something specific hurts and you want it worked on, book deep tissue. If you would rather stay clothed and be stretched, book Thai. Everything else on this page is a variation on those three, and any therapist will adjust on the table. Add hot stones to any of them for $20.
Swedish Relaxation · 60 $85 · 75 $110 · 90 $130 · 2 hrs $175
Long, flowing strokes, light to medium pressure, oil on the skin, the whole body in an hour. Swedish massage is the classic for a reason: it lowers your heart rate, loosens the shoulders and back, and asks nothing of you but to lie still. Book it after a hard week, before a big one, or as the first massage you have ever had. Tell your therapist if you want more pressure; it adapts.
Deep Tissue · 60 $90 · 75 $115 · 90 $135 · 2 hrs $180
Slow, firm, specific. Deep tissue works the layer under the surface muscle: the knots between the shoulder blades, the tight band down the low back, the hip that will not let go. It is not a harder Swedish; the strokes are shorter and the pace is slower, so the muscle releases instead of bracing. Expect to feel worked the next day, in a good way, and drink water. Sixty minutes for one area, ninety for the whole back and legs.
Table Thai · 60 $90 · 75 $115 · 90 $135 · 2 hrs $180 · on the mat from $70
You stay dressed in soft clothes and your therapist moves you: pressing along energy lines with palms and thumbs, folding you into long, assisted stretches, opening hips and shoulders you cannot open alone. No oil. On the table it is calmer; on the mat it is the traditional form, closer to being put through a slow yoga class by someone else. Right for people who sit all day, for runners, and for anyone who finds oil massage too passive.
Sports · 60 $85 · 75 $100 · 90 $115 · 2 hrs $135
Faster and more focused than Swedish, gentler than deep tissue, and aimed at the muscles your sport actually uses. Your therapist works the legs of a runner, the shoulders of a swimmer, the back of a lifter, with compression, stretching and cross-fibre work that keeps range of motion where you need it. Book it the day after a race, the week before one, or every few weeks through a training block.
Trigger Point & Neuromuscular · 60 $115 · 75 $135 · 90 $155
A knot in the neck that gives you headaches. A point in the glute that sends pain down the leg. Trigger point and neuromuscular therapy find those spots and hold sustained pressure on them until they release, then work the surrounding tissue so they stay released. It is precise rather than relaxing, and it is the massage people book when they have already tried the others. Come with a specific complaint; leave with a plan.
CranioSacral · 60 $80 · 75 $90 · 90 $100
The lightest touch on this page: about the weight of a coin, held at the head, the base of the skull, the sacrum. CranioSacral therapy works with the rhythm of the fluid around the brain and spine, and people book it for headaches, jaw tension, poor sleep and the kind of stress that lives in the nervous system rather than the muscles. You stay dressed. Most people fall asleep.
Prenatal · 60 $125 · 90 $185
From the second trimester on, with a therapist trained in prenatal work. You lie on your side with pillows and bolsters where you need them, and the session goes where pregnancy puts the strain: the low back, the hips, the calves and feet, the shoulders that carry everything else. Gentle by design, and one of the few hours in the week that is entirely yours.
Add-ons · Hot stones $20 · Cupping $25 · Hot bamboo $20
Smooth basalt stones, heated and used as an extension of your therapist's hands. The warmth does part of the work, so muscles release under moderate pressure and the whole session feels deeper without being harder. Cupping lifts the tissue instead of pressing it and suits stubborn knots. Hot bamboo rolls warmed rods along the muscle, a firm pairing with deep tissue. Ask for any of them when you book, or when you arrive.
