This month
A sound bath in Cleveland where you are not asked to do anything. Rejuvenate, once a month in the Buddha Room.
Ninety minutes of long, supported holds while reiki and live sound move through a small room. The next one is Sunday 27 September, and October is worth holding now.

Everything else on the schedule asks something of you. A vinyasa asks for breath and effort; the warm room asks you to stay; even Yin, the gentlest thing we teach, asks you to hold still and keep holding. One evening a month, the studio does the opposite. You lie down, you are covered, and for ninety minutes things are done for you instead.
It is called Rejuvenate, and it happens in the Buddha Room with Heather Baur. The shape of it is simple: a handful of long, supported restorative holds — bolsters and blankets, nothing you have to work to stay in — while reiki and live sound move through the room. You are not asked to do anything. That is the whole point of it.
Come because you cannot sleep. Come because you have spent a week being competent for other people and want an hour where nobody needs you to be. Come suspicious of the word reiki; that is allowed, and nobody will ask you to believe anything. Whatever you bring, you lie down, and somewhere in the middle you may stop being able to tell whether you are awake. That is not a failure of attention. It is what the evening is for.
If you have never done a sound bath, the only preparation is to arrive already a little tired, wear the softest thing you own, and expect nothing in particular. There is no technique to get right. If you have done one somewhere else, the difference here is the room: it is small, the sound has nowhere to go but through you, and the restorative shapes underneath mean your body is held the whole time.
The next one is Sunday 27 September, 7:00 to 8:30pm, and it is $40. It runs once a month and the room is small, so it fills. October's is Sunday 25 October, and if September is already gone by the time you read this, that is the one to hold. Both book through the same Mindbody account as your classes.
If a whole evening is more than you want to commit to unseen, there are quieter doors into the same idea on the ordinary schedule. Open Meditation runs most weekday mornings and asks nothing of your body. Yin and Chakra Balancing Slow Flow are the same long, supported holds with the sound turned off. And the infrared sauna is thirty minutes of being warm and doing nothing for $25, any day you like.
But the evening is the thing. Once a month, come and be done for.
You are not asked to do anything. That is the whole point of it.
